As the race for the GOP nomination heats up so does the debate of animal cruelty. Dogs Against Romney, is a site centered around exposing the truth about the heavily debated and controversial actions that took place way back in 1983 on a Romney family vacation to Canada. As Time Magazine reported back in 2007, “Romney strapped a dog carrier — with the family dog Seamus, an Irish Setter, in it — to the roof of the family station wagon for a twelve hour drive from Boston to Ontario”, with the obviously unhappy dog leaving it’s excrement on the roof and windows of the family vehicle. Most recently correspondents of ABC World News Tonight discussed the topic and how top democrats feel this very well could hurt Mitt Romney in this race. The official Dogs Against Romney apparel shop, which donates a portion of all proceeds to animal welfare organizations and features apparel and designs for the whole family. Best sellers include dog t-shirts that feature a clever, “I Ride Inside” design printed on the back and patriotic Dogs Against Romney designs featuring various dog breeds.
